Of course, you can add Duck Phat to any cup of coffee, but we think this is the perfect cup.

Ingredients

8 oz filtered water (coffee is 98.6% water, it deserves the best)

2 heaping Tbsp of your favorite coffee, freshly ground

 1 Tbsp Porcini Duck Phat

Preparation

  1. Boil water to between 195° and 205° F.  An electric kettle is perfect for this, or you can bring the water to a boil, remove from heat, and wait 1 minute.

  2. Grind your coffee (a burr grinder works best) to a medium grind if using a paper filter, or medium fine if using a metal filter.

  3. Place freshly ground coffee in a filter over your cup.

  4. Poor half of the water over coffee grounds and let stand for 30 seconds, this is called blooming and will ensure even saturation of the grounds.

  5. Poor the remaining hot water over the grounds.

  6. Stir in 1 Tbsp of Porcini Duck Phat.  For best results, mix with a handheld frother.
